Garage

Tools, Bikes, Sporting equipment, Lawn care products … where to put them all?
“A house is just a place to keep your stuff while you go out and get more stuff.” — George Carlin

Are you having trouble finding your car through all the other stuff in your garage? Or is your car permanently parked in the driveway because there is just not room for it inside?

Our pros will work with you to make your garage a highly efficient space. And to make it a better space for all of your automotive and gardening tools, sports equipment, and home improvement materials. It will also be a better space in which to store your car!

How do I get started?

First, you will need to take inventory of what is in your garage right now. If you have not used an item for several years, or if the item is broken and will never be repaired, discard or donate it. If you have two of any item, discard or donate the duplicate. (For much more detailed info on how to sort your items and get your garage on a more organized track, visit our blog.) Once you have figured out what to keep and what will continue to be stored in the garage, we will design and build the custom organizing system your space needs. Our system will ensure that each of those items (and future purchases) have a proper home. Using our modular melamine products and manufacturing capabilities, our experienced space planning pros will turn your garage into an efficient, organized storage space!

HouseAndHome logoJUNE 2010:

Our general manager, Eric Wheary, was featured in a garage organization article in House & Home magazine. The article was called: Modernize your garage to obtain a streamlined, stylish space.

Here is an excerpt from that story:

GARAGE HD72rgbGarage organization is becoming more of an extension of the home. Once they have installed cabinets and new flooring, many homeowners are using the warm space to host parties or work from home.

More recently, the trend is to design garage spaces around a theme, hobby, or even a custom logo. Whether it is a car buff who wants the entire garage turned into a custom mechanical workshop, or a gardening enthusiast who wants a workspace and storage to accommodate a green thumb, themes are becoming quite popular. “Picture a motorcycle enthusiast who wants surrounding cabinetry and storage items in colors that coordinate with his bike,” says Wheary. “An entire custom package can be put together to coordinate and complete the theme.”

So, would you like to get organized, but you are not sure where to begin? The first thing to do is come up with an overall plan of what you will store and the way you prefer to store things. Your wants and needs will affect the overall goals and budget for organizing the garage. Then, give Closet City a call! We can be reached at (215) 855-4400, Monday through Friday. We look forward to hearing from you!
